While we’ve always been meticulous when it comes to cleaning and housekeeping, we’ve introduced a number of additional measures, some of which you may notice, though most are very discrete. These have been carefully considered; primarily for your safety but also, importantly, to ensure your enjoyment isn’t in any way compromised.

Autumn in the Highlands is a wealth of colourful hues. It’s a quieter time, but it is just as glorious as any other season. Exploring the region is an adventure that gets more exciting when you include some island hopping in Scotland.
Scottish shorelines are magnificent. It doesn’t get much better from stretches of sandy beaches, impressive dunes, and majestic cliffs. Moreover, with around 900 islands dotted offshore, you’ll discover some which are inhabited and others which are not.
Scottish landscapes and coastlines are spectacular at any time of the year. Then there are all the activities, from hiking, cycling, skiing, fishing, and so much more. But have you heard about the delicacies and traditional Scottish foods to try on your next visit?
The Highlands has an abundance of superb resources. Fish caught daily off the coast is just one of the tempting ingredients used in centuries-old recipes. In addition, land in the Highlands is fertile, which means crops like potatoes and other vegetables are flavoursome and nourishing.
There are some great choices of 2-day fishing trips in the Highlands. This includes a 2-day outing on Loch Ness organised by the Scottish Gillie. Or fly fishing organised by youfishscotland. The choice is tremendous!
Stargazing in the Scottish Highlands is exceptional. The clarity of the night skies makes for an excellent experience whether you’re new to stargazing or a seasoned watcher.
The best places to stargaze in Scotland are at the Taransay and Glen Nevis Visitor centre. It’s the most northerly Dark Sky Park in the world. With a bit of luck and being there at the right time, you may even get to view the Mirrie Dancers, otherwise known as an aurora.
Scottish wildlife and marine life are exceptional thanks to the unspoilt nature of many regions. There are birds, deer, dolphins, whales and lots more to see when visiting the western Highlands.
Many areas of the Highlands have remained unspoilt. Coastal walks along pristine beaches offer a superb chance of spying a wealth of marine life. While inland, in the valleys, hilltops and mountains, an abundance of flora and fauna thrive. Staying at our hotel near Pitlochry provides the perfect opportunity to spot our Scottish coastal wildlife and even some rare Scottish animals!
