With the festive season now well and truly behind us, it’s not uncommon to find ourselves stuck in something of a post-Christmas rut at this time of year.
The building work is complete, the last few flourishes are being added to the decor, and the bookings are rolling in. With a little under three months before the Dunalastair Hotel Suites opens its doors on April 10th, the team offer us the latest update on the final stages of the venue’s multi-million-pound renovation project.
As the days draw ever closer to our big opening this Easter, you would perhaps be forgiven for believing that things may have started to slow down a little behind the scenes of our big refurbishment.
Now that all the bustle of Christmas is finally out of the way, you can sit back and relax and as the New Year draws in, why not find a little time to think about planning your family holiday to the Highlands in 2017. The Dunalastair Hotel Suites celebrated the arrival of 2017 at the annual Hogmanay celebrations here in Perthshire. As at similar events across the UK, we joined together at the stroke of midnight for a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
Not that the celebrations end there. In just a few short weeks, we’ll gather together again for a traditional Burns Night supper, paying homage to the very man who wrote that song, the acclaimed poet, Robert Burns.
With the final finishing touches about to be added to our multi-million pound renovation project, the Dunalastair Hotel Suites in Loch Rannoch are thrilled to announce that our grand opening is now set to take place on April 10th 2017, in perfect time for spring in the Highlands.
For those of you keeping score at home, that’s a little less than four months away, approximately 15 weeks, or 108 days.
Located less than 40 minutes from the Dunalastair Hotel Suites in nearby Pitlochry, the famous Explorers Garden has been long enjoyed as one of Perthshire’s top Scottish holiday attractions, as much for its fascinating glimpse into Scotland’s past as for its beautiful display of rare flora and fauna.
With only four months to go before our grand reopening on April 10th, the Dunalastair Hotel Suites have already begun accepting bookings from couples, families, and groups eager to be the first to stay at our newly renovated hotel suites.
Yet with each suite boasting breath-taking views of the Perthshire Highlands, exquisitely comfortable interiors, and all the modern amenities you’d expect from a first class hotel, it seems some of you truly are spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing the best accommodation type for your Scottish getaway.
At this time of year the winter nights are drawing in and it already seems as if we haven’t seen sunlight for far too long. But there’s a light on the horizon – pun intended. December 21st sees the Winter Solstice, marking the longest night of the year, so summer is (technically) on its way back!
The Beatles once told us that all we need is love. Charles M Schulz, creator of everyone’s favourite loveable loser, Charlie Brown, famously added the proviso that ‘a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt, either.’ Here in Loch Rannoch, as we gaze out among the truly beautiful scenery from the Dunalastair Hotel Suite’s luxury bridal suite, we couldn’t help but look forward to a little bit of both.
